Garrick Stone

Helena taught him Brannock mattered for who he was, not his legend — but Garrick noticed her grief at seeing Alden praised while Brannock was forgotten, and her grief slowly became his anger. Motivated by a correct insight (forgotten people and history deserve truth) that curdles into a destructive conclusion.

His fall happens before the present-day story begins. Idolizes "Brannock Stone" the legend but never knew "Bran" the person; uses formal historical names for the Defenders because names and records matter to him. Falls before the game's present-day start; the true final confrontation is not against Garrick, but against the Horror he unleashes. Dies believing he failed, asking to be forgiven by a mother who died years earlier without knowing what became of him.
